In Front of Muslim Youth from 11 Countries, Joneri Alimin, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Emphasizes the Importance of Positive Action at the Middle East Youth Summit

In a gathering of young Muslims from 11 different nations at the Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS), Joneri Alimin, the Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), delivered an inspiring message. He urged every participant to become ambassadors of positive change in the world, emphasizing that when positive actions are taken on a large scale, they can have a profound impact on the global Muslim community.

Addressing the delegates, Mr. Alimin reflected on the significance of youth in shaping the future of the Muslim world. He stated, “Each one of you has the potential to be a source of hope and inspiration for the Muslim community and beyond. Your actions, no matter how small, can contribute to significant change when combined with the efforts of like-minded individuals.”

Mr. Alimin, who holds a deep admiration for President Soekarno as his role model, further underscored the role of young activists such as Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg as examples of how youth can be catalysts for change. He highlighted that these young individuals have demonstrated that determination, passion, and commitment to positive action can result in meaningful and impactful transformations.

MEYS provides a platform for young Muslim individuals to come together, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that address urgent global challenges. Mr. Alimin’s message served as an inspiration to the participants, motivating them to channel their energy and ideas towards making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.

As the Middle East Youth Summit continues, participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from Mr. Alimin’s words and work together to create a brighter future for the Muslim world. The event aims to empower and unite young Muslims in their efforts for positive change and meaningful contributions to society.
