MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.

Program Duration:
- The duration of the MOFA Taiwan scholarship is a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months.
Benefits of the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2025:
- The fellows will get the monthly grant every month as below:
- Professors, associate professors, research fellows, or associate research fellows will get a grant of NT $60,000/-.
- Assistant research fellows, assistant professors, or doctoral students will get a grant of NT $50,000/-.
- The fellows will get one round-trip economy class ticket.
- Accident and medical insurance coverage of NT $ 1 million will be granted to the fellows.
- Fellows will get the opportunity to visit Taiwan and learn about its culture and people.
Eligibility Criteria of the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2025:
- Foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, post-doctoral researchers, doctorates, or doctoral students can apply.
- Your field of study should be related to social sciences and humanities, related to the topics, focused on Taiwan, cross-strait relationships, mainland China, the Asia Pacific, and Sinology.
- Your recommendations should be made by the Republic of China (Taiwan).
- Candidates, conducting research studying, or teaching cannot apply.
