The Jardine Foundation 2023

The Jardine Foundation is now offering full-ride Scholarships to pursue studies at top universities in Hong Kong, Indonesia, in addition to the UK. Learn how our various scholarship schemes collaborate with partners to address challenges to access higher education in over 11 countries we care about and drive change.

The Foundation offers outstanding applicants from Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam full-ride scholarships to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, and for courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Aspiring students from Hong Kong and Indonesia are also eligible to apply to the University of Hong Kong, and the Universitas Gadjah Mada for scholarships to study an undergraduate programme.

Scholarships for postgraduate studies (such as Masters or PhD) are for periods of up to four years.

Eligibility

apply for the scholarships through one of the Colleges stated in item 1 (and refer to item 5 for the list of documentations required);
be a national of or resident of Cambodia, mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, for a period of at least 7 years;
be within the early stages of their career at the time of application; and
be in a satisfactory state of health.

Value of Scholarships

Each Scholarship awarded will generally be sufficient to cover fees, tuition, board and lodging, and reasonable living expenses and travel expenses to and from the chosen educational establishment at the beginning and at the end of the course in respect of which the Scholarship is awarded.

The Scholarship will include:

University tuition fees payable directly to the University;
College fees, payable directly to the College;
an annual stipend to cover board and lodging and all other incidental expenses (the stipend will be payable in three instalments each year, with the first instalment a larger sum to cover initial costs);
the cost of the UK Immigration Health Surcharge; and
a standard economy class airfare to be reimbursed at cost to the Scholaru from the place of residence to the United Kingdom at the beginning of studies, and for the return journey to the place of residence on completion of the Scholarship period.
