Best Idea Innovation KYS 2026 (Junior Level): Real Solutions for Global Culture and Education

Seoul, South Korea — February 2026 — Korea Youth Summit (KYS) 2026, organized by Youth Break the Boundaries, highlights outstanding young innovators through the Best Idea Innovation Junior Level.

This program serves as a global platform for youth to present practical solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through innovation, collaboration, and measurable impact, participants demonstrate how young leaders can respond to real-world challenges.

1st Place: Group 5 – VietSoul Legacy

Introduced VietSoul Legacy, Group 5 initiated an innovative focused on preserving Ca Trù, a traditional Vietnamese art form recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. The project addresses the declining engagement of young people with traditional culture by reconnecting heritage with modern urban spaces.

By combining traditional performances, youth training programs, cultural podcasts, and 3D mapping technology in public spaces across Hanoi, VietSoul Legacy revitalizes Ca Trù while maintaining its authenticity. The model bridges heritage preservation with inclusive public participation under SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.

With more than 15 planned activities, over 3,000 direct participants, and a digital reach exceeding 200,000 audiences, the project demonstrates measurable and sustainable impact. Strong leadership from experienced Ca Trù practitioners further strengthens its long-term cultural and social relevance.

2nd Place: Group 7 – Bridge Your Hope

Group 7 addressed the issue of educational inequality in rural Indonesia through their project, Bridge Your Hope. Based on PISA 2022 data, Indonesia continues to face literacy challenges, particularly in rural areas where schools struggle with limited teachers, infrastructure, and access to technology.

The project offers three main solutions: voluntary English teaching, the establishment of mini libraries to improve literacy access, and creative workshops to enhance soft skills among orphanage students. The approach is simple, community-based, and designed to be easily replicated in other underserved areas.

Using a clear SMART framework and SWOT analysis, the initiative targets measurable improvements in basic English skills, reading ability, and student confidence in the short term, while supporting long-term academic readiness and educational equity under SDG 4: Quality Education.

3rd Place: Group 2 – Bee Project

Group 2 presented Bee Project, an initiative focused on expanding access to undergraduate education for students from vulnerable backgrounds. The project responds to global dropout rates and common barriers such as financial limitations, geographical challenges, and lack of guidance in university applications.

Bee Project provides mentoring sessions, university preparation Q&A discussions, academic follow-up support, and recorded orientation classes shared through digital platforms. This hybrid approach increases access to reliable information and structured academic assistance.

With an 18-week implementation plan and a two-year expansion vision, the project shows strong scalability potential. The team’s real-life experience navigating competitive international university admissions adds credibility and practical value to the program.

Conclusion

From cultural preservation and educational equity to expanded access to higher education, these young innovators demonstrate that meaningful change begins with action.
