Eligibility Criteria

To apply, you must:

  • Be a government official or public sector employee from an eligible KOICA partner country
  • Have at least two years of relevant work experience for a master’s program
  • Have at least three years of work experience after graduating from a KOICA Master’s Degree Program if applying for a PhD
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree for master’s studies or a master’s degree for doctoral studies
  • Be in good physical and mental health
  • Be preferably under 40 years of age

Please note: that the PhD scholarship is only available to graduates of the KOICA Master’s Degree Program.

  • Your latest academic diploma
  • KOICA application forms
  • Proof of English proficiency that meets the host university’s requirements, or one of the following minimum scores:
    • TOEFL ITP: 450
    • TOEFL iBT: 35
    • IELTS: 5.0
    • British Council English Score: Level B1
