About the Program
The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship aims to support the global demand for Chinese language teachers.The program is backed by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation. Its goal is to promote Chinese language and culture worldwide. Through this program, you will study at top universities in China. Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship is categorized as fully funded, covering essential expenses during the study period in China, including: Full tuition fees, Accommodation fee, Living allowance (four-week study students are excluded) and Comprehensive medical insurance.
Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a non-Chinese citizen.
- You should have no criminal record and respect Chinese laws.
- You must also follow the rules of the host university.
- Good health is required, both physically and mentally.
- You should also have good academic performance.
- You must be interested in Chinese language education.
- The age limit is 16–35 years old (as of September 1, 2026).

Categories and Qualifications
Degree Programs
These programs are designed for students pursuing full academic degrees in International Chinese Language Education.
PhD (4 years)
Starts September 2026. Requires a master’s degree and HSK 6 (≥200) with HSKK Advanced (≥60), or HSK 7.
Master’s (2 years)
Starts September 2026. Requires a bachelor’s degree and HSK 5 (≥210) with HSKK Intermediate (≥60).
Bachelor’s (4 years)
Starts September 2026. Requires a high school diploma and HSK 4 (≥210) with HSKK Intermediate (≥60).
Note: Priority is given to applicants who can provide proof of future employment as Chinese language teachers.
Non-Degree Programs
These programs are suitable for short-term study and skill enhancement.
One-Year Program (up to 11 months)
Requirements vary: HSK 3–4 depending on the field, with HSKK required or preferred.
One-Semester Program (up to 5 months)
Starts September 2026 or March 2027. Requires HSK 3 (≥180) and HSKK.
Four-Week Program
Starts July or December 2026. Focus areas include Chinese language, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Taiji.
