YBB – Applications are now open for the Humphrey Fellowship Program 2026–2027, a prestigious fully funded professional exchange program in the United States for mid-career professionals from eligible countries, including Indonesia. As part of the Fulbright exchange programs, the fellowship offers participants the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional expertise, and build international networks through a ten-month non-degree academic and professional experience.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and administered in collaboration with the Institute of International Education (IIE), the Humphrey Fellowship is designed for professionals who have demonstrated leadership potential and a strong commitment to public service.
About the Program
Established in 1978 in honor of former U.S. Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, the fellowship promotes mutual understanding and international cooperation by bringing together accomplished professionals from around the world.
Unlike traditional academic scholarships, the Humphrey Fellowship does not lead to a degree. Instead, participants engage in a customized professional development program that combines university coursework, independent projects, internships, field visits, workshops, and networking opportunities. Fellows work closely with academic advisors to design a program tailored to their professional goals while exchanging knowledge and best practices with experts and peers in the United States.
