A prestigious international stage is being prepared in the heart of the Islamic world. Middle East Youth Summit (MEYS) 2025 will be held again on December 1–4, 2025 in the Holy City of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. This event is a gathering place for Muslim youth from all over the world to strengthen their role as agents of change, expand global networks, and deepen the values of Islamic leadership and spirituality.
Summit initiated by international youth organizations Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) this raises a big theme“Empowering Emerging Leaders for Positive Change within the Islamic Brotherhood.”Through this theme, MEYS emphasizes the importance of forming a young generation of Muslims who are not only intellectually intelligent, but also morally resilient and actively create positive social change amidst global dynamics.
4-Day Forum in the Holy Land Loaded with Values
MEYS 2025 will last for four days, combining a variety of agendas ranging from plenary sessions, workshops, discussion panels, project presentations, to spiritual agendas in the form of Umrah pilgrimages and visits to historical Islamic sites.
First day. Participants will be picked up at King Abdul Aziz International Airport, Jeddah. Then taken directly to a star hotel.Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Al Naseem. On the same day, registration, activity orientation, and optional Umrah worship will be held.
Second and third daywill be filled with MEYS core sessions: thematic discussions on issues of the Islamic world. Values-based leadership, social inclusion, and the relevance of Islam in addressing global challenges, including climate change, education, inequality, and social justice.
The fourth day closed with an award ceremony, certificate distribution, and leadership reflection session. Participants will then be escorted back to the airport to return to their respective countries.

Hundreds of Muslim Youth from Various Countries Will Attend
MEYS 2025 targets around 200 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Nigeria, England, and the United States. Not only from an Islamic educational background, this summit is open to anyone who is Muslim and aged15 to 40 years, without formal English language proficiency requirements such as TOEFL or IELTS.
According to the committee, participants do not need to pay for accommodation, food, and local transportation during the activity. However, the system used is partially funded with a reimbursement mechanism. So participants must prepare initial funds that will be replaced after passing the selection and participating in the event.
Linkage to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Different from similar forums, MEYS combines Islamic values with a global sustainability mission. This summit focuses on the implementation Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) from an Islamic perspective, in particular:
- SDG 1: Eradicating poverty
- SDG 4: Quality education
- SDG 5: Gender equality
- SDG 10: Reduce inequality
- SDG 16: Peace and justice
- SDG 17: Partnerships to achieve the goals.
With this approach, the summit becomes a platform for Muslim youth to not only reflect. But also design concrete actions that can be implemented in their respective communities.

Ambassador Program: A Special Path for Agents of Change
YBB also opens up opportunities to become Ambassador MEYS 2025, which is a youth ambassador program that helps spread information about the summit. Ambassadors receive various benefits such as fast track selection, free registration fee, digital campaign training, and publication opportunities in national and international media.
Ambassador registration is open until the end of May 2025 and has attracted great enthusiasm from the youth community, students, and social activists.
Registration and Selection Steps
The MEYS 2025 registration process is open from June 1 to August 10, 2025, via the official website https://middleeastyouthsummit.com. Prospective participants are required to fill out an online form. Upload an essay about their contribution to the community. Follow the social media campaign guidelines as a form of their commitment and support for the summit values.
Announcement of selection results will be made between the dates15 to 20 August 2025. For selected participants, the committee will direct them to the visa processing stage and other technical preparations.

In previous editions. MEYS has been successfully held in Istanbul and Mecca with participants from more than 15 countries.
