SISGP 2027: Fully Funded Master’s Scholarship in Sweden Offers Monthly Living Allowance

Stockholm, Sweden – International students and young professionals now have an opportunity to pursue higher education in Sweden through the Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship for Global Professionals 2027/2028.

The Swedish Institute offers this fully funded scholarship to talented individuals from 34 eligible countries. The program supports full-time master’s studies at Swedish universities for one or two years, starting in autumn 2027.

What Is the Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals?

The Swedish Institute Scholarship for Global Professionals is a government-funded scholarship program managed by the Swedish Institute, a public agency in Sweden.

The program aims to develop future global leaders through international education and professional collaboration. It also encourages scholars to use their academic knowledge to create positive changes in their communities.

For the 2027/2028 academic year, the scholarship covers selected English-taught master’s programmes across four major study areas:

  • Governance
  • Public Health
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation
  • STEM

The Swedish Institute will publish the official list of eligible master’s programmes on November 13, 2026.

Scholarship Benefits

One of the biggest advantages of this program is its comprehensive financial support. The Swedish Institute provides several benefits to help international students focus on their academic and professional development.

Here are the main scholarship benefits:

  • Full Tuition Fee Coverage
  • Monthly Living Allowance; Each successful scholar receives SEK 12,000 per month to support living expenses throughout the study period.
  • Travel Grant; The scholarship provides a one-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 for eligible scholars. However, scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine receive SEK 10,000. Students who already live in Sweden cannot receive this travel grant.
  • International Professional Network; Successful applicants become members of the SI Network for Global Professionals. This network provides opportunities to connect with international professionals, develop leadership skills, and participate in collaborative activities. After completing the scholarship, graduates also join the Sweden Alumni Network.

The scholarship does not cover insurance, additional family allowances, or the University Admissions application fee.
