About the TAMBA & SAMBA Scholarship
The TAMBA & SAMBA Scholarship is a funding opportunity specifically created for Indonesian professionals who want to pursue the IBEAR MBA at USC Marshall School of Business.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an Indonesian citizen.
- Have at least six years of professional work experience.
- Be no older than 40 years old as of 30 September 2026.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have never obtained a master’s or doctoral degree from any university.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance from a reputable university.
- Demonstrate leadership potential.
- Have active involvement in community service, public service, and/or entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Meet the admission requirements for the USC IBEAR MBA.
- Commit to working in Indonesia for at least five years after graduation and contributing to Indonesia’s economic development.
Applicants from financially disadvantaged backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
English Language Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following:
- TOEFL: Minimum score of 95.
- IELTS: Minimum score of 7.0.
Applicants should ensure that their English test results meet the requirements for the scholarship and the IBEAR MBA application.

- Resume or CV of 1–2 pages.
- Bachelor’s degree certificate and academic transcripts.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of several stages.
- Application Submission
Applicants submit their scholarship applications and supporting documents between 24 June and 30 September 2026.
- Shortlist Announcement
The shortlisted candidates will be announced on 25 October 2026. Shortlisted applicants will then be asked to submit a three-minute video based on the topic provided by the scholarship organizers.
- Selection Committee Interview
Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview with the selection committee on 12 November 2026. The interview is conducted in person, although an online interview may be accommodated with valid justification.
- Final Interview with USC Marshall
Candidates who progress to the next stage will participate in a final interview with the USC Marshall Admissions Office on 24 November 2026.
- Final Announcement
The final scholarship and admission results are scheduled to be announced on 10 December 2026.
