Top 4 Business Idea Teams Competed for “The Best Group” at World Youth Festival 2024, Supported by Emina Cosmetics Malaysia

On October 8, 2024, in Kuala Lumpur, four top teams competed in the final round of the World Youth Festival 2024. Youth Break the Boundaries organized the event with full support from Emina Cosmetics Malaysia.

The final competition aimed to crown “The Best Group,” a prestigious award celebrating youth entrepreneurship. The winning team would receive a customized plaque, a certificate, and $300 (around Rp4,500,000) in cash.

Meet the Finalist Teams

The four finalist teams were Edumotion (Group 8), Botaniq (Group 3), Hope Union (Group 7), and Coco Case (Group 1). Each team delivered innovative solutions aligned with the festival’s theme, “Cultivating Youth Creativity in Entrepreneurship.”

  • Edumotion (Group 8) developed a digital platform providing emotional learning tools for children. Their interactive games and educational content supported kids’ emotional well-being, including resources for teachers to use in classrooms.
  • Botaniq (Group 3) introduced an AI-powered smart pot made from recycled materials. It monitored moisture, light, and temperature, offering an eco-friendly way to care for houseplants.
  • Hope Union (Group 7) created a platform where young artists with special needs could showcase their work. This platform provided both artistic expression and income opportunities for talented youth.
  • Coco Case (Group 1) focused on circular economy solutions by producing phone cases from cocopeat, an agricultural waste product. Their mission aimed to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainability among the younger generation.

Teams Express Joy and Challenges Faced

The finalist teams expressed a mix of excitement and gratitude for reaching the final stage. Roya, representing Coco Case, shared, “We are grateful and surprised to make it to the finals. We will do our best for the final presentation.”

The Hope Union team admitted feeling nervous during their presentation but said the experience was rewarding despite technical issues. Similarly, Botaniq and Edumotion mentioned their pride in advancing to the finals, despite the limited time they had to prepare.

Emina Cosmetics Malaysia played a vital role in supporting the festival’s competitive spirit. Known for its youth-focused beauty products, Emina’s vision aligned with Youth Break the Boundaries’ mission to empower young people.

The “Best Group” winner was announced during the festival’s closing ceremony. The entire competition reflected the creativity and entrepreneurial passion of youth, showcasing their ability to develop solutions that benefit society and the environment.
