YBB – Pursuing your dream in the arts on an international stage is no longer out of reach. For those who are passionate about developing their artistic talent while studying abroad, South Korea offers a prestigious opportunity through its scholarship program.
The Art Major Asian Plus Scholarship (AMA+) opens the door for talented students from developing countries, including Indonesia, to study at the Korea National University of Arts (K-Arts) with full financial support.
About the Program
The Art Major Asian Plus Scholarship (AMA+) is a government-funded program by South Korea designed to nurture outstanding artistic talent from developing countries while strengthening global cultural exchange.
Since its launch in 2005, the program has supported more than 400 students from 41 countries. Its graduates have gone on to actively contribute to the arts sector both locally and internationally, expanding their impact across the global stage.
More than just financial aid, AMA+ serves as a platform for young artists to grow, connect, and pursue their dream in a dynamic international environment.

For a bachelor’s program, you must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification. For a master’s program, you must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
If you are still completing your studies, you can apply using a certificate of expected graduation. However, you must submit your official diploma before the required deadline.
To be exempt from Korean language training, you need to already hold a TOPIK level 5 or higher. Otherwise, you will be required to attend the training program. - Language Requirement
You must meet the Korean language proficiency level required by your chosen department. A valid TOPIK score is required, but if it is not available, you may submit an equivalent certificate, such as one issued by the King Sejong Institute or a Korean university language center.
You may also be required to take an internal Korean language test conducted by K-Arts, although this will only serve as a supporting evaluation and will not replace TOPIK. - Artistic Talent
You are required to submit a portfolio that demonstrates your artistic skills and potential, unless your selected program explicitly states that a portfolio is not required. - Entry to Korea
If you are selected, you will travel to Korea and participate in a Korean language training program before starting your degree. This requirement is waived only if you already meet the TOPIK level requirement.
