Hanoi, Vietnam — Registration for World Youth Festival (WYF) 2026 – Chapter: Vietnam is officially open. The international program invites young people from across the globe to participate in a Global Sustainability Project Competition under the theme “Youth Solutions for a Sustainable Tomorrow.”
Organized by Youth Break the Boundaries, World Youth Festival serves as a global platform that empowers youth to design, present, and implement innovative projects addressing real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The main event will take place in Hanoi, Vietnam, from July 6 to July 9, 2026.
Program Summary: Youth Solutions for a Sustainable Tomorrow
World Youth Festival 2026 focuses on transforming youth-led ideas into actionable sustainability projects. At the heart of the program is the Global Sustainability Project Competition, where participants collaborate in multicultural teams and present solutions with long-term social impact.
The competition focuses on four priority SDGs:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
- SDG 4: Quality Education
- SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- SDG 13: Climate Action
Through mentoring sessions, expert panels, and project presentations, participants strengthen leadership capacity, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration.

World Youth Festival recognizes excellence through a series of competitive awards, including:
- The Best Project
- The Best Group
- The Best Leader
- The Best Participant
- The Best Presenter
- The Best National Costume
Award recipients will receive official certificates, medals, and placards, along with global exposure through World Youth Festival platforms. These recognitions aim to strengthen academic portfolios, scholarship opportunities, and professional development.

Eligibility and Participant Categories
The program is open to youth from all nationalities and backgrounds who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 15–35 years old
- Passionate about leadership, innovation, and sustainability
- Able to communicate ideas in English (no TOEFL/IELTS required)
Participants are divided into two categories:
- High School Innovators
- Future Innovators (post–high school students and young professionals)
Types of Registration and Funding Scheme
Participants may join under two funding schemes:
- Fully Funded, available through a competitive selection process
- Self-Funded, allowing direct participation
Registration types include Regular Participants, Ambassadors, Institutional Delegates, and Guardians (for participants under 18). Both Fully Funded and Self-Funded participants receive the same program benefits during the event.

Applicants must complete the registration form, select an SDG theme, and submit required documents. Applicants under the Fully Funded scheme are required to submit an essay and participate in the interview process (if selected with interview email after essay review).
Program Policy and Important Notes
- To ensure transparency and smooth participation, all applicants are required to read the official World Youth Festival 2026 Guideline before registering. The guideline is available at: s.id/guidelineswyf26
- All participants are also required to create and share the official World Youth Festival 2026 Twibbon as part of the campaign exposure. The Twibbon can be accessed at: twb.nz/wyf26
- Applicants applying under the Fully Funded scheme must submit an essay and complete all selection stages. Visa and international flight tickets are not included in either Fully Funded or Self-Funded schemes. Fully Funded benefits apply only during the official program period in Vietnam.
- Visa document support—including a Letter of Acceptance, Guarantee Letter, and Hotel Confirmation—will be provided only after participants complete the first installment payment.
- The organizing committee emphasizes that all payments made are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Fully Funded applicants who choose not to make any payment and prefer to wait for interview or final selection announcements may do so. However, if they receive an interview invitation, they are required to sign the Declaration Letter attached to the email as formal confirmation of participation if accepted as a Fully Funded delegate.
- Applicants who do not pass the Fully Funded interview stage but still wish to attend may continue their participation as Self-Funded participants by completing the required program fee, without the need to re-register.
