Youth Break the Boundaries Celebrates Visionary Speakers Who Inspired Global Delegates at Japan Youth Summit 2025 in Osaka

Osaka, Japan – October 15, 2025, The Japan Youth Summit 2025, organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB), successfully brought together thousands of youth leaders, innovators, and changemakers from across the globe in Osaka, Japan, from October 12–15, 2025. The summit served as a space for collaboration, cultural exchange, and idea generation — uniting young people under the theme of “Innovate for Tomorrow.”

One of the major highlights of the summit was the presence of three distinguished speakers, each of whom represented different fields of expertise: marketing and sustainability, environmental innovation, and global education. Together, their stories offered delegates valuable lessons on leadership, purpose, and impact in an ever-changing world. Here are the lists of the speakers:

Kyoka Sugahara — Leadership and Innovation in Marketing: Shaping a More Sustainable Tomorrow

Representing Japan’s creative industry, Kyoka Sugahara, founder of BuzzSell, captivated the audience with her presentation “Leadership and Innovation in Marketing: Shaping a More Sustainable Tomorrow.”

Kyoka’s professional journey — from studying at Keio University, beginning her career in marketing at Unilever Japan, to establishing her own marketing agency, BuzzSell — reflected her passion for transforming the marketing landscape. Her company focuses on connecting global brands with Gen Z audiences through influencer marketing, live commerce, sponsorships, and experiential campaigns.

She emphasized how marketing, when done with responsibility, can be a force for good:

“Marketing is not only about selling products — it’s about shaping culture and influencing choices. The future belongs to brands that understand their social and environmental responsibilities.”

When asked about how BuzzSell incorporates sustainability into its campaigns, Sugahara shared,

“We believe every collaboration must have a conscience. Our campaigns integrate ethical storytelling, eco-conscious visuals, and measurable impact goals. This approach helps clients engage audiences who care deeply about the planet.”

Kyoka also encouraged young professionals to see marketing as a platform for advocacy rather than mere promotion.

“Purpose-driven creativity will define the next generation of leaders. Innovation starts when we listen to people, not just consumers.”

Ayik Abdillah — Pioneering Innovation for a Sustainable Future: Bridging Environmental Engineering with SDGs 9 and 13

From Indonesia to Japan, Ayik Abdillah, a PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering at Kyoto University and lecturer at Universitas Indonesia, brought an academic yet visionary approach to sustainability. Through his presentation “Pioneering Innovation for a Sustainable Future: Bridging Environmental Engineering with SDGs 9 and 13,” Abdillah emphasized the importance of integrating technological innovation with environmental responsibility.

With active involvement in JICA SATREPS collaborations and leadership experience as Chairman of PPI Kyoto 2025, Ayik highlighted the intersection of research, policy, and industry in achieving global climate goals.

“Technology is essential, but collaboration is the real key,” Abdillah noted. “No nation can face the climate crisis alone. Japan has shown that innovation thrives when academia, government, and private sectors work together — and that’s a lesson every developing country can learn from.”

He shared his personal journey as a researcher abroad, describing Japan as a place where “discipline meets purpose.”

“Studying in Japan taught me how structure, efficiency, and empathy coexist in research culture. I hope to bring that spirit home — to inspire innovations that are both sustainable and human-centered.”

Addressing the delegates, Ayik encouraged young researchers to act with urgency:

“Every youth voice in science matters. You are not just observers of change — you are the architects of our sustainable future.”

Muhammad Fawad Afridi — Empowering Youth Through Education and Global Opportunities

Education activist Muhammad Fawad Afridi, founder and CEO of Scholarships Corner, shared a deeply personal and motivational session titled “Empowering Youth Through Education and Global Opportunities.”

Afridi’s platform, Scholarships Corner, has become one of the world’s leading online resources for scholarships, internships, and international programs — helping thousands of students gain access to education and career opportunities across continents.

“Scholarships Corner began as a small blog to help students like me,” Afridi recalled. “But today, it connects millions of young people with opportunities that can change their lives.”

When asked how he sees education transforming global leadership, Afridi responded,

“Global education opens doors — not only to classrooms, but to empathy. When young people study abroad, they don’t just learn theories; they learn to understand the world beyond borders.”

Afridi also emphasized the role of digital media in democratizing access to education.

“The internet is the great equalizer. Through social media, we’ve built a community where students can dream fearlessly and achieve without limits.”

He concluded his session with a powerful message:

“Your education is your passport to impact. Use it not just to build your career — but to build bridges, communities, and hope.”

A Legacy of Inspiration and Leadership

Through the wisdom and authenticity of these speakers, Japan Youth Summit 2025 reaffirmed its position as a global platform where education, innovation, and sustainability intersect. Each speaker represented the values that YBB continues to uphold — integrity, collaboration, and youth empowerment.

“This summit was not only about ideas but about inspiration,” said a YBB representative. “Our speakers embodied what YBB stands for — the courage to lead, the creativity to innovate, and the compassion to make change possible.”

YBB also expressed its gratitude to all delegates and partners who contributed to the success of the event and announced that preparations for Japan Youth Summit 2026 are already underway. The next edition aims to expand its impact by involving more institutions, universities, and youth-led organizations from around the world.
