A Voice for Youth and Global Peace
Dong Chan Kim has been confirmed as one of the official speakers for the upcoming Korea Youth Summit 2025. This global forum will bring together youth delegates from 15 countries to collaborate on solutions for a better future.
Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of Global Peace Youth Korea. In this role, he leads initiatives that empower young people through value-based leadership and intercultural collaboration.
Academic Background: Global Vision with Local Action
Dong Chan Kim earned his Master’s degree in Global Governance and International Development Cooperation from Kyung Hee University. As a result, his education provides him with a strong understanding of international challenges and collaborative solutions.

Over a Decade of Leading GPY Korea
Since 2010, he has led Global Peace Youth Korea with dedication. Under his leadership, the organization has developed impactful programs focused on:
- Character-based youth leadership
- Interfaith and intercultural dialogue
- Peacebuilding and sustainable development
- Cross-border youth collaboration
Moreover, he has trained thousands of young people to become ethical leaders. These individuals now contribute meaningfully to both their local communities and the global stage.
Public Engagement and Policy Advocacy
Between 2019 and 2021, Dong Chan Kim served as the Chairman of the Youth Committee in Mapo District, Seoul. During this time, he worked closely with local government officials.
As a youth representative, he helped design policies that promoted youth empowerment. Furthermore, he created space for meaningful dialogue between young citizens and decision-makers.

Session at Korea Youth Summit 2025
At the summit, Dong Chan Kim will lead a session titled “Youth Leadership for Peace and Global Solidarity.” Through this platform, he will share key lessons from his personal and professional journey.
