YBB  The Energy Journalism Fellows Program 2026 in New York, USA, is now open for applications. This fully funded fellowship is organized by Columbia University SIPA and will take place from June 9 to June 12, 2026, at the Center on Global Energy Policy in New York City.

Therefore, it focuses on topics such as global oil markets, natural gas, electricity systems, emerging technologies, public policy, geopolitics, and energy access. Selected fellows will receive financial support that covers travel and accommodation during the seminar.

About the Program

The Energy Journalism Fellows (EJF) Program brings together journalists from around the world to examine the forces shaping the global energy sector. Moreover, the seminar encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration among professionals who report on energy, climate, and related issues.

During the four-day program, fellows will engage directly with Columbia faculty members, scholars from the Center on Global Energy Policy, and experts from academia, industry, and government. As a result, participants will deepen their understanding of complex energy systems while strengthening their analytical and reporting skills.

In addition, organizers will provide reading materials before the seminar to ensure meaningful and informed discussions.
