Registration for the Japan Youth Summit (JYS) 2026 — Chapter 3 has been officially opened by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB). The program is scheduled to be held on 11–14 May 2026 in Osaka, Japan, bringing together youth from across the globe to collaborate on innovation, technology, and sustainable development.
Carrying the theme “Innovation Beyond Borders: Building the Future through Collaboration” with the tagline #InnovateForTomorrow, the summit has been designed to encourage participants to work in multicultural teams and develop SDG-focused projects addressing SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 13.
A Four-Day Innovation and Leadership Program
The JYS 2026 program has been arranged to include:
- mentoring sessions and team-based project development
- an Innovation and Technology Project Competition
- cultural exchange and city exposure
- an international symposium and panel discussions
- awarding ceremonies recognizing outstanding delegates
- professional documentation including recap videos, after-movies, and media coverage

A range of award categories has been provided, including:

Certificates, medals, exclusive gifts, and digital exposure across JYS platforms will be granted to the winners. Junior and senior competitors will be judged within separate categories to maintain fairness.
Registration Schemes: Fully Funded & Self Funded
Two participation pathways have been made available for applicants:
- Fully Funded Scheme (Competitive)
This scheme has been designed for candidates seeking financial support. Requirements include:
- submission of CV and essay
- interview stage following essay review
- payment of initial program fees before reimbursement
- signing of a Declaration Letter for those who have not completed required installments
Benefits include the full program package and potential reimbursement of the program fee upon selection. Fully Funded candidates may also be assigned special roles such as panel moderation.
- Self Funded Scheme (Direct Participation)
This pathway has been offered for participants seeking a straightforward registration flow. Features include:
- no essay
- no interview
- no social sharing requirements
- automatic eligibility for applicants not selected under the Fully Funded scheme
Participants joining through this scheme only need to complete program fee payments as scheduled.

What Participants Will Receive
- All confirmed delegates under both schemes will be provided with:

- project-grouping and presentation training
- customized seminar kit (T-shirt, ID card, tote bag, notebook, pen, stickers)
- meals according to the program schedule
- local transportation during program activities
- airport assistance at Kansai International Airport
- Certificate of Participation and documentation package
- winner certificates & prizes for competition winners
- certification recognized by Puspresnas
Not included: visa fees, international flights, personal expenses, and personal insurance.
